Watching, waiting and praying
For that day
For so many years its been spoken
It cannot fail
One day this whole life
Will fade away
Like a flower that blooms
And then it fades away
My soon coming King will
Then appear and
Then in a moment
I’ll fly away
I’m longing for that Kingdom
Where there’s no more death
I’m looking forward to that place
Where there’s no more pain
Where there’ll be no sickness
And no diseases
And all of our tears will be
Wiped away
Every sorrows of this world
Will be gone at last
Oh in just a moment
I’ll fly away
He said he’s coming
back to take us
To the place he has prepared
Where there are so
Many Mansions
And where the streets
Are made of Gold
(Repeat)
Where the streets are
made of Gold
I’m laying aside every weight
That tries to hold me down
I’m running the race
Set before me
I’ll fight the good
fight of faith
Not by my own power
Or by my strength
But by your Spirit
I will make it through
Just to stand before you
A bride pure and chaste
How glorious it will be
I’ll fly away
When I finally make it
To Heaven
I’ll see his face
Then I’ll know that it was
All worth it
All the troubles along the way
Basking in his glory
I’ll fall on my knees
And worship the one
Who kept me all the way
Praise God Hallelujah
My eternal Home
They’ll be nothing like it
When I fly away
He said he’s coming
back to take us
To the place he has prepared
Where there are so
Many Mansions
And where the streets
Are made of Gold
(Repeat)
Where the streets are
made of Gold
Watching, waiting and
Praying for that day…..
