I dwell in the secret place of the Most high,
Abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I’ll say of the Lord, ‘ You’re my refuge and my fortress’,
Surely He shall deliver me from the snare,
And from the noisome pestilence,
He shall cover me with His feathers
And under His wings shall I trust.

Thousands at my side fall, my life shall be spared,
I’ll see the end of the wicked,
For that He gives me favour and long life,
I’ll testify of the Lord.

Because I’ve made the Lord, my refuge,
Even the most High, my habitation,
No evil befalls me,
No plague comes near my dwelling.
He’s given His angels charge now,
To keep me in all my ways,
They bear me up in their arms so I don’t hit/kick against a stone.

No weapon fashioned against me shall work.
Hide me under the shadow of Your wings.
Underneath are the everlasting arms.
